This review is from: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: -Loads of great features for the price.
-Slightly smaller size than most ATX, making slightly more room in case, but no problems with anything fitting.
Cons: -This board doesn't work perfectly upon first installing it. For instance, the USB 3.0 ports will not work until you install the drivers. So the problem I had when installing windows was that I had to plug my mouse into a USB 2.0 spot in order to use the mouse. If I didn't have UBS 2.0 on my case, I honestly don't know what I would have done. I ended up plugging an old ps2 port keyboard in, and that solved the keyboard issue.
Other Thoughts: I really thought the board was DOA, because I tried everything and nothing would happen when I hit the power button the mobo itself. I'm experienced and could tell everything was set up correctly, and my PSU works perfectly. I thought it was possible that there simply wasn't enough power to turn on, so before I boxed up the mobo to RMA it, I tried turning the system on without the video card. It worked! I thought a 650 w power supply would be plenty, as I had a pretty normal amount of hardware hooked up, but apparently not. So I'm getting my computer set up without the video card now, waiting for my new, larger, power supply to come in the mail.
My advice: If you're planning on using a mid-range or higher video card on this mobo, don't use a PSU below 800 with this board, even though it says 650 is sufficient.
There are a lot of reports of DOA boards, but I'm wondering if many of them really were DOA because I had to do a lot of work to get this board to work properly. Now I love it!
Pros: It is the fastest standard hard drive I've ever owned, no installation or compatibility trouble (Windows 7,) and 500 gb is more than enough for storing all my music and installing several games on. This has been a very reliable hard drive. It's also silent, as far as I can tell. (I can't hear it over my GPU and case fans.)
Cons: Can't think of any.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't want every HD in my computer to be an SSD, because SSDs have a tenancy to wear out much more quickly. I expect this HD to last me for many many many years, whereas I expect to have to replace my SSD someday. I build computers to last 6+ years at a time, but have the power to handle most games and software the whole time (even if only on a low setting.) This HD will serve me very well for this purpose.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Kingdom Hearts Game
Pros: Final Fantasy meets Disney in a really fun and inventive adventure. Fun story, fun characters, fun game play, and fun experience.
Cons: The combat system is annoying - more so for me because I have a repetitive stress injury, and it's hard to play games that require button smashing like this one. Combat quite seriously involves aiming Sora in a general direction towards the enemy and smashing X over and over until it's dead. (Okay, there can be more to battle than that - but playing lazily because you're sick of the constant monsters and you're just trying to get through an area means lots of button smashing.)
The game isn't always good about helping you figure out where to go. I've required a walk through a couple of times just because I couldn't figure out where to go next, even after exploring an area super thoroughly several times.
Other Thoughts: I know the 2nd one improved the battle system, and I'm looking forward to be playing it instead of the first one.READ FULL REVIEW
