This review is from: Akust Desktop 5.25” Drive Bay Storage Drawer
Pros: Simple friction "latch". Good fitment. Is absolutely the handiest non-electronic thing I have put in a computer. I store screws, usb sticks, etc etc in there. It is fully enclosed so nothing can fall inside the computer case.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: If you read up on these, there are some that have a more fancier latch that gets easily broken...either in transit or after a use or two. This version uses just some bumps to friction latch itself into place. Simple and effective.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Everything hooks up. Everything worked the first time.

Pros: Big and Speedy.
The drives came in factory sealed static bags. I put them into a NAS and they came up fine, no issues, no noises.
Other Thoughts: HGST = Old Hitachi (now owned by Western Digital)
For what it is worth, I paid the extra $9 per drive for the extra 1 year of warranty. Total came to under $100 per drive. IMHO still a deal for a 3TB Hitachi drive.
I like that they came sealed in static bags that had to be torn open. It's obvious that these were not just "open box" drives. They were definitely refurbished and not thrown back in a box to be resold. The drives were dated from September and August 2012. 2 years old. Dunno if that matters after being refurbed.
I was worried based on the other reviews but so far so good.
