This review is from: TRENDnet TEG-S5G, 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit GREENnet Desktop Plastic Housing Switch
Pros: Got a good deal on these. Great price for gigabit.
Cons: Very small and light, so the weight of the attached cables makes it difficult to keep them where you want them. A few squares of velcro took care of that minor annoyance.
Power plug is on the side, which has me scratching my head.
Other Thoughts: I bought three of these to replace 10/100 switches on my network since I've reached the point where I have more devices with gigabit ports than 10/100.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Price was right (free)
Does what I need it to do.
Cons: Older product, limited support from D-Link. Newest firmware is beta and it's from July of 2013.
Other Thoughts: I got this router for free when I purchased a Motorola cable modem from Newegg. It sat in the unopened box for well over a year before I found a use for it. I put it in our son's bedroom so that he has his own wireless access point and enough ports to plug his stuff into. For that, it's working perfectly.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-406E2K Powerline AV500 Nano Adapter Kit, up to 500 Mbps
Pros: The ones that are still working are performing well.
Cons: I purchased two "sets" (four devices). They worked for a day and then I came home from work to find two of the devices were no longer connected to the network, would not reconnect, are unable to be reset, etc, etc. They just appear to be dead.
Other Thoughts: I'm not feeling confident about the two remaining devices. Hope this is just a fluke. I am calling TRENDnet support right now.READ FULL REVIEW
