working as intended

Linksys WRT54GL 802.11b/g Wireless Broadband Router up to 54 Mbps/ Compatible with Open Source DD-WRT (not pre-load)
Linksys WRT54GL 802.11b/g Wireless Broadband Router up to 54 Mbps/ Compatible with Open Source DD-WRT (not pre-load)

Pros: well since I got this to replace a wireless N router that constantly rebooted I havent had any problems. set this router up, and have left it alone for months now no problems in quality. the wireless has good enough range for my home.

Cons: one computer in my home has a cheap wireless card that sometimes loses signal randomly, might just be that the wireless card is not linksys. not worth taking an egg away.

Overall Review: some of the LED display looks a little off. like light from some holes floods over to holes that are not supposed to be lit up, they look half full. everything still works. just cosmetic that bugs me a little bit.

bad bearings

APEVIA CF12SL-UGN Green LED Case Cooling Fan
APEVIA CF12SL-UGN Green LED Case Cooling Fan

Pros: all the LEDs worked when I set this in my case.

Cons: the bearing slipped so the fan constantly hits the sides of its self. I knew other reviews had problems, figured mostly bad products get reviewed. if something simple like a fan works most people wont take the time to report it. luckly I just ordered one of these fans. apevia might need to check their stock of fans for errors.

Overall Review: gonna look around newegg for other LED 120mm fans because this fan was supposed to be for my side window in my antec 900 case. luckly the case has 3 120mm fans and the huge fan on top.

why give a Xbox game to PC gamers?

NVIDIA Gift - Coupon Code for Gears of War 4
NVIDIA Gift - Coupon Code for Gears of War 4

Pros: I didnt pay for this as it was a gift for buying a video card.

Cons: never going to play this on PC. I hear the PC community is so small getting into a game of the VS multi player will take forever in queue. Nvidia could of giving a real game for PC like battle field or some AAA game on steam... or steam wallet gift card so we could pick our own favorite game to go with a new video card.

Overall Review: so I bought a Xbox last year(2015) at black friday and it came with a bungle of all the Gears games. I pretty much instantly stop them from installing because I dont plan on playing Gears. and when I got this code I had to log into my Xbox account and the windows store. once I got done my xbox automatically started installing gears 4... I still have not figured out how or where this game is supposed to install on my PC from the code I got or the email delivering it. so hey now its on my xbox uninstalled like the rest of these games.

nice case comparable to antec's 900

Antec GX500 ILLUSION Black Computer Case
Antec GX500 ILLUSION Black Computer Case

Pros: this case has good space for cables in the pocket behind the Mobo. made my cable management easy with the areas that are cut out in the areas around the motherboard and between the hard drive space. really well placed loops in the frame for wrapping twist ties. nice air port below the power supplies position with a dust filter and the case sits on legs so there is enough gap for air intake. I got a EVGA 600w psu that fit perfectly. the 3 fans that came with the case had their power cables ran behind the Mobo and met at a molex connector with pre labled connectors for top, back and front fan 3pin connectors.

Cons: I only really had 2 problems and minor at that. first was I got extra 120mm fans for the front and side of the case. the window fan was fine but the 2 front fan ports have only 2 spots diagonal to screw into and you have to use the long screws with different thread size to mount them. the other spots to screw into are capped for some reason like they got solderer over on purpose. call it a design flaw. second issue is new to me because I have never used a 2.5inch SSD and the way the SSD I purchased just happened to be hard to mount because of the way the hard drive bay is in the case. the bay is riveted in place and the 2.5inch mount is only a thin piece of the frame on the side you screw into and like 2 little nubs on the opposite side but they didn't sit in the right space for my SSD to be level and it made setting the screws a chore without a 3rd hand. not worth taking an egg off as it might just be my problem with my choice of other hardware. everything else went really well. and I really like this case maybe even more then my Antec 900.

Overall Review: this was a case I got for a new computer for my mom. so she didnt really need anything special but for the price this was a really good choice. got it on sale.

working fine.

Rosewill RCAB-11031 10 in. SATA III Black Flat Cable w/ Locking Latch Supports 6 Gbps, 3 Gbps, and 1.5 Gbps transfer rate
Rosewill RCAB-11031 10 in. SATA III Black Flat Cable w/ Locking Latch Supports 6 Gbps, 3 Gbps, and 1.5 Gbps transfer rate

Pros: working just fine.

Cons: none so far. I had a problem with an old cable dieing. was worried it was hard drive. swapped sata cable to find it was just a bad cable so bought a few of these for spares.

Overall Review: got this on cyber monday for a really cheap deal of 99 cents. with free shiping. so if you can wait to get them around a holiday sale you can probably save a bit, and buy an extra cable. way cheaper to buy on newegg then at a local store that wanted 15 dollars for 1 cable that was like 8 inches.

decent cable adapter

VGA to S-Video/RCA Converter Adapter cable for TV AV
VGA to S-Video/RCA Converter Adapter cable for TV AV

Pros: I got this for a older computer to hook up to a TV with S-video. does the job. nice cable. and the ends are female so I didnt need to find any S-video F-F adapters.

Cons: no problems with this product so far. I only would of liked to get a DVI to s-video/AV adapter. not sure if this will work with DVI to d-sub adapter yet. keep meaning to try it out because all my newer video cards have 2 DVI ports and HDMI. the computer I used this on is the last one with any D-sub outputs.

Overall Review: like I said in the Cons not the cables or companies fault so I dont take any eggs away. this does exactly what I expected it to do. turns a TV into spare monitor. or would work with a projector or other older device to send signal from my computers.
