Pros: stable, no errors
Cons: nothing yet.
Other Thoughts: I run MEMTEST86+ 24 hours, no errors. My motherboard did not recognize them and set 1333 only, I guess I need manually set the right speed, may be later.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Seagate NAS HDD ST4000VN000 4TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive
Pros: Quite, cold, good performance for NAS
Cons: no yet
Other Thoughts: I bought 4 HDDs (2 here, 2 from other store). Connected all 4 to Intel RAID 5. After reading negative reviews I decided to check them before using. I run Seagate Tools long test two times (each test runs several hours), then long read test also several hours. No issues reported. Then I created RAID 5 and start coping files to and from RAID to another drive. I disconnected one HDD to simulate the problem. Intel reported it, but coping speed stays almost the same. When I reconnected the drive, Intel started rebuilding RAID. All this time I continued coping 1TB of small files. So I am pleased with drives. They are not the fastest, but this is not their job. I hope they will stay well next 5 years.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SYBA SD-CF-2IDE-U Dual Ultra IDE to Compact Flash Adapter
Pros: Works without problem. FreeNAS boots from it. I used old (7 years) 128 MB CF card.
Other Thoughts: It's better to buy this card with bracket. I mounted it on the double-sided scotch tape at the bottom of the case, but bracket would be better.READ FULL REVIEW
