Pros: for my specific purposes, buying DDR3-1600 RAM was the most i needed. Since i mainly game and do minor video editing, 16GB was more than enough. The reason for going with Corsair Vengeance Pro is to ensure that I maintain compatibility with my Motherboard. It has been reported that MSI-Z87 Gaming boards don't always agree with all types of RAM.
As such, I wanted to make sure that I spend as little time going through multiple brands and/or RMAs as possible. Which is why i chose Corsair; because of their reputation and quality.
Make sure to enable XMP in order to get your frequency up to 1600.
Cons: price as always, but you get what you pay for. Buy this when it's on promo. best deal ever.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm
Pros: Simple bracket installation for MSI-Z87 G45 Gaming board and Fractal Design Arc Midi R2.
For anyone thinking about installing this item into the Arc Midi R2, make sure that you test fit. I wanted to have the tubes on the right side instead of next to the exhaust fan but the Optical Drive bay got in the way. Not a big deal but a good learning.
The installation process is very simple and I love the Corsair-Link software. You can manage everything in a convenient software package.
My i7-4770k now runs sub 30*C stock. i plan on over-clocking the system to around 4.5-4.6 gHz.
I give this 4 eggs because only custom cooling systems will get 5 eggs since they can provide even more cooling.
Cons: Can't find anything to make this unit better.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: i love PWM fans. i would suggest everyone getting PWM high Performance fans and then reduce the RPMs of the fan until you don't hear any loud audible noise (around 1500RPMs for me). the 3 color rings are great for aesthetics and i hope they come out with more colors.
the fan configuration is great for radiators and cases that have a mesh filter. pushing the fans to max RPM, i can definitely feel the airflow through my H100i radiator.
Cons: it's 120mm and not 140mm. i wish they had LEDs in this configuration.
Other Thoughts: i'm worried about the design of the fan rig and how there are open holes around the ring. i don't know if this will lead to any "leaks" of sorts.READ FULL REVIEW
