Pros: Decent quality. Heavy metal body.
Cons: No google play (although you can root this and install GP).
DC chargers all quit working.
Not much room for installing apps. Only 500mb availale for apps. Although you can move most apps to the SD card.
Other Thoughts: Bought 3 at christmas time for myself and my kids. The DC chargers didn't work right out of the box. Luckily they can be charged with the usb cable. WiFi is ok... Not great but they do connect and keep a connection.
No app stores installed. You can download the big "A" app store from the mach speed website. You can root the tablet very easily. Google search "Root many android" (and choose option 1 not 2). After rooting you can install google play. Google search "Rooted Kindle Fire HD with working GAPPS and Play Store".
After rooting this tablet it's really not that bad. Definately not for someone who just wants something to work right out of the box. You will want to root this and install google play before using it. So there will be some setup required.
Got one for myself and my two boys ages 7 and 11. Both my boys can operate these with no problems.
Pros: Works after finally getting drivers installed
Cons: Driver cd was cracked. Downloaded drivers from manufacturer website. Didn't recognize them.
Other Thoughts: Finally looked up the wireless chipset. This card uses a Realtek RTL8188CE chip. Just download the drivers from them and you will be all set. Just do a google search for Realtek RTL8188CE and download the drivers directly from Realteks website. Tried posting a link to the drivers but the post wasn't allowed. Just search for it. It's easy to find.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Obihai OBI100 VoIP Telephone Adapter with Google Voice & SIP
Pros: Excellent little device. I use it in conjunction with my Google Voice account and can make free calls to US and Canada. Works terrific. You can't go wrong with this. Simple to set up. So many options too, but all it use it with is Google Voice. Bought it from another online retailer.
Cons: Not really a con of the device but there is no 911 service with this. Not really a major thing though. If you search their forums you will see a thread describing how to set up 911 from another service (yes there will be a monthly charge for that).
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for ways to cut on your phone expenses this is a great way to go!READ FULL REVIEW
