This review is from: LIAN LI PC-Q28B Black Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case
Pros: Sleek exterior.
Mounting options for SSDs.
One-screw side panel access is nice (on both sides even), but... (see con)
Cons: Optional C-02(b) 5.25 drive bezel is not included.
Fans are 3-pin, not 4-pin.
Front 140mm fan only blows directly on half of the hard drive cage.
No option to route ATX power cable behind MB.
Side panel screws are drop-it-and-you've-lost-it-forever-tiny.
Other Thoughts: The fans are definitely audible without power modulation. If you want the computer to be quiet you're going to want to control the fans somehow. The stock fans being 3-pin makes that a little bit harder, I think. My motherboard only having one fan header (and a dead one at that) also makes this harder. Although I can hardly fault Lian Li for my poor choice of and bad luck with motherboards. I'm going to go with a PCI slot fan controller.
I'm using a non-modular sub-400watt full size ATX power supply in this case. At this low wattage, modular power supplies do not offer much of a benefit, I don't think. I think this because with four drives and two fans I'm using almost all of the cables that come out of the power supply. (Higher wattage supplies would have more cables, right?)
While a full size ATX supply will fit, its going to be tight, not only because of the size of the box, but also because of the length of the cables. If a smaller form factor supply comes with shorter cables, by all means, get that if you can. For me, not having to install a video card has made using this full size supply relatively painless.
Pros: Works in regular USB port
Cons: Mystifyingly does not work when plugged in to a USB port that is converted to PS/2 and then back to USB via a PS/2 keyboard and mouse splittler, although other mice do work at this connection. The laser comes on, but it detects no movement.
Other Thoughts: Maybe buy a different mouse if you're in the above situation.READ FULL REVIEW
