Pros: It's Tracfone based service - I've used them for several years.
The phone features are good for a basic smartphone.
I've had no problems with signal quality or reception.
Android 4.1 is a recent version of the operating system and has several nice updates over older versions.
The 200 minute airtime code was easily found on the invoice that came in the shipping box.
The USB port works normally on this phone - Tracfone often disabled the USB port on older model phones.
It comes with a 4GB SD card which can be replaced with a larger one for more music, etc. storage.
The included data/charging cable is basic but works fine.
You get to download from the google play store, but you have to setup, or already have, a google/gmail account first.
The included generic (non-google) email app works fine with several types of email service.
There are now several case and screen cover options available for this model.
Cons: The camera is basic, fixed-focus and has no flash.
Don't buy this phone expecting it to replace a camera or video recorder.
Don't buy this phone to take (gag) selfie pictures, there is no camera on the front side. That also rules out video chat like Skype.
You can not remove the dozen or so google apps preloaded onto the phone. Some of the preloaded apps are useful, but you can't get rid of the unwanted ones to save storage space.
Other Thoughts: This is one of the best current options for a smartphone that uses tracfone service. I now have 3 of this model phone for the family with no real regrets so far.
I was able to transfer existing phone numbers and minutes from 3 older tracfones. I talked to customer service on one of the transfers but that was an issue with the old flip phone. Customer service was helpful both times that I talked to them.
Pros: See early review below; it's still true.
The $30 rebate check arrived about 1 month after sending it in. Most take 3 months or more.
AMD free game offer worked.
Cons: Battlefield 4 not added to the Gold Free games list.
That was AMD's decision, not powercolor.
Other Thoughts: I redeemed the free games and 2 (Saints Row 4, Deus Ex) were available now on steam. The third game (Thief) will be released next year, also on steam.
Note that Tomb Raider and Far Cry are no longer on the Gold game list.
Pros: Pricing - $180 after rebate with 3 free games
Performance - it's a 7950 and overclocks well
Sound - The twin 92mm fans are relatively quiet up to 60% and cool well
VRAM - 3GB of fast (1725MHz) hynix GDDR5 goodness
Cons: My package was missing the HDMI to DVI adapter shown in the pictures. Not a big issue since I only use one monitor and connect to the DVI port.
Other Thoughts: This card will keep me gaming with all the eye-candy turned up for a year or 2 at 1920x1080. The good overclock (max firstname.lastname@example.orgV) just adds to the future proofing.
With any high-end video card, like the 7950, good case airflow is a must for decent video card operating temperatures. I run four 120mm case fans at 1550rpm: two intake and two exhaust. They move a good amount of air but aren't loud.
The code on the free game card was recognized at the amd website. I won't actually pick the 3 games until Dec. I'm waiting and hoping that BF4 is added to the gold list.
Find a good 7950 and grab 1 or 2 before they are gone! This is a good model.
