This review is from: USB 3.0 to 2.5 inch HDD SATA Hard Drive Cable Adapter for SATA3.0 SSD&HDD FF
Pros: Compact, additional USB for additional power.
Cons: Works intermittently with Seagate 2.5" HDD
Other Thoughts: Bought it for my laptop to have an ability of using "naked" 2.5" HDD (sometimes it is needed to prepare HDD and write OS image on it before putting it to laptop). At this time I have only Seagate 500GB SSHD to test this adapter and sometimes it looses connection with a computer through it. From my past experience, it can depend from HDD model (one works flawlessly, another has a problem), so, more investigation is needed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SYBA 2 Ports PCI-E IEEE 1394A Firewire Card Model SY-PEX30001
Pros: Windows 8.1 sees the card and install drivers automatically.
Cons: I've purchased this card mainly to capture HDV-video from my old Sony HC7 and FX7 HDV-camcorders. Both Vegas Pro and Premiere Pro CC recognize camcorder, connected to this card, I can even rewind the tape from the program but instead of video I can see only blue screen... capture doesn't work either. I replace this card with the analog based on VIA chipset (this card is based on JMicron chipset) and all tasks run flawless.READ FULL REVIEW
