Great bang for your buck
Pros: Price. Ease of install. OC Flexibility. Very easy install. I found the stock fan is adequate unless you're really looking to OC the heck out of it or you have a need for absolute quiet (but then maybe I just haven't been shown an Uber-quiet fan setup). I also like how it staggers the fan speed increase so the noise level is gradual (up or down) not a sudden burst, or absence, of noise.
Cons: Not a 6 core. Seriously, I can't fault this chip at all.
Overall Review: Newegg specials rock. Keep your eye on a product for a few weeks and you always seem to get a fantastic deal - for this I had 10% off AND a $15 gift card - less than $140 for this puppy. *very* happy!
Eggsactly my kinda deal!
Pros: Ordered this at the same time as my "Military Grade" Chicken. Still waiting on that to arrive, so it's nice to finally know what comes first.
Cons: How can there be any? All you egg-haters have to remember you have to break a few to make that omelet!
Overall Review: Was going to rate 5 eggs, but that didn't make sense as there are only 3 in the pack...
Had to buy this.
Pros: Alduin is fantastic and HUGE! Artwork is great and shows a nice insight into the game development. Packed well.
Cons: None for me.
Overall Review: Love. Love. LOVE this game! Already had a version of this but at <$80 I couldn't resist the collector's edition. A cool collector's set as long as you have a good (and large) place to display it. Newegg shipped it super fast as well... always a bonus!
Love it!
Pros: Cool - Immediate big differences in my temps. And it looks cool too. Price - With the rebate special, it was an absolute steal for this. I'd pay the retail, to be fair.
Cons: Very big. Be sure you have enough space. The system for connecting the fans, whilst clever, was a bit of a pain. Mind your fingers.
Overall Review: When I unpacked it I panicked that it wouldn't fit my Rosewill Challenger case, but it did with a tiny gap to spare. Mounted on a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 with an AMD Phenom II 970 BE 3.5ghz. My stock temps were; 39-40c (idle) and 66-68c (load) with lots of noise. With the SD1283 (after a couple of hour long prime runs); 28-30 (idle) and 53-55c (load) quieter than my hard drives! Running cooler and, more importantly, quieter! Great buy!
Cool
Pros: Cold. Even with the tinny looking stock cooler. Sits at 28-30c idle - prime pushed it to about 50c. Haven't OC'd as it's just a replacement for an old Opteron dual core. Blowing it away without breaking a sweat.
Cons: Didn't get any extra cores using it with my MSI 785GT-E63. But like I said, it's a nice upgrade at stock.
Overall Review: Very happy I got this. Lowered the temps and nice performance boost.
Does the job!
Pros: Does what it needs to do. Tidy looking cable. Connectors feel solid.
Cons: None at the moment.
Overall Review: Was straining the cable before I got it.... feel much happier now with this in place.
