SILVERSTONE Black Aluminum front door and plastic front panel, 0.8mm SECC body Grandia Series GD06B ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Looks nice when the front door stays on.

Cons: The front door keeps falling off and we have to chase the little gears that hold it so they don't roll somewhere under the furniture. Sick and tired of this case. Will be replacing it with something else.

Other Thoughts: This is a follow up to my previous review. This case was a waste of money.

Rosewill RHB-330 -7-Port USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

4 out of 5 eggs Had it for several months now, works fine 12/05/2013

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-330 -7-Port USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter

Pros: Works, good port layout, perfect shape to stick under a monitor. Powers up portable drives and works with Logitech Unified USB Receiver

Cons: It's a bit bulky and ugly, really the only complaint, but it's really ugly

StarTech ECUSB3S254F 2 Port Flush Mount ExpressCard 54mm SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

1 out of 5 eggs Have to reboot thelaptop to get drives to mount 07/20/2013

This review is from: StarTech ECUSB3S254F 2 Port Flush Mount ExpressCard 54mm SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter

Pros: Nice, flush design.

Cons: It won't recognize connected USB3 hard drives unless I reboot the laptop. I updated the firmware and the driver to the latest available from StarTech website. I tried older drivers too to no avail. I disabled USB3 power management, same results. So it's pretty useless to me. I don't want to reboot the laptop every time I connect a USB3 drive. I'll be returning it. I give it 2 stars for neat, flush design, but unfortunately it doesn't mean a lot since the card doesn't work well. This seems to be a common issue with Renesas USB3 controller judging by the number of forum posts on Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc. websites.

Other Thoughts: Dell Latitude E6410, Windows 7 x64
