Pros: Really nice, small, compact size which can fit easily into your pant/shirt pocket.
Cons: Completely unreliable! It doesn't hang, but it restarts on a consistent basis, thus not allowing for any type of long duration usage.
Want to transfer large files? - NOPE! can't do that
Want to run programs directly of the drive? - NOPE! so sorry!
Other Thoughts: Avoid this and the Kingwin drive, they are identical and both disconnect and reconnect consistently.
and what's up with all those 5 egg reviews!? All lies!
Pros: A really simple, compact, and portable solution to that extra mSATA SSD you have; or just because you wanted build yourself a fantastically fast & small external storage drive.
Cons: Does NOT work with Windows 8.0 and does NOT work with Win 8.1.
I've used it to "try" and transfer some files, but I was going from a Win 7 to Win 8.0 (which later in the evening I upgraded to 8.1).
I've tried manually picking drivers, but Win 8.0/8.1 does not allow that for this piece of hardware - it just disappears from the Device Management area; and at times caused a BSOD...yes, that's right I've seen it just the other day on both Win 8.0 & 8.1.
Other Thoughts: I'm not going to be RMAing, but I sure wish Newegg would like place an auto-credit on my account.
Also, i'm going to be looking into getting 2 other possible solutions from Newegg:
This review is from: iolo System Mechanic Professional - Unlimited PCs (install it on all your home PCs)
Pros: I've used this product years ago and was very happy with how it cleans the system.
I would recommend it unless...
Cons: ...you don't want to give out your e-mail address.
Personally, I feel they have no business requiring an e-mail address.
So now I'm faced with a dilemma, do I stash this software in a box and forfeit my $70 and chuck this experience as lesson learned and avoid this company going forward, or do i cave in and give them my e-mail address?
Of course there is a 3rd option...I create a temporary and disposable e-mail address just to get by this registration?
The question is then, what happens when I need to reinstall and they tell me to go check that e-mail to which I've long forgotten the password??
Other Thoughts: Bottom line, if you don't want to give your e-mail away, knowing they WILL sell it and then spam it, stay away from this product.READ FULL REVIEW
