5 out of 5 eggs Great product, xlnt price 02/24/2012

This review is from: Cisco Small Business Wireless-G IP Camera with 2-Way Audio / Pan-Tilt-Zoom (WVC210)

Pros: (1) Pretty much bulletproof
(2) Good optics
(3) Easy setup

Cons: (1) Don't care for white trim
(2) Optical zoom would have been sweet
(3) No built-in IR lamp for nighttime monitoring

Other Thoughts: Just got it two days ago. Works fine, nice image. Planning to mount it outdoors this weekend. Plays well with others on the local network.

ASUS WL-520gU 802.11b/g Wireless Router up to 54Mbps with All-in-One Print Server/ DD-WRT Open Source support
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: (1) Utterly stable
(2) Flashes to Tomato easily
(3) Pretty lights flash

Cons: (1) Wasn't free
(2) Didn't come with Tomato already flashed

Other Thoughts: Never tried running it with stock firmware, but from reading other comments, it's not that good. But with Tomato, the thing is easy to configure and utterly stable.

It replaced a D-Link router that began cutting out (WiFi), and it was so old it didn't have QoS anyway.

Because our house is so dependent on the Internet (Ooma phone, Tivo, Squeezebox, Slingbox, monitoring webcam) I had purchased two identical routers and configured them identically so that in the event of a failure I could just do a swap and be up in minutes. But it looks like that will never be necessary.
