Pros: One of the only netbooks that has ALL of the following: a gigabit LAN (rare for a netbook), wireless N, dual core CPU, graphics processor capable of HD and Bluetooth. I have been successfully playing 1080i TS files with minimal glitches. Screen size and weight is just right.
Cons: The wireless adapter has been real flaky in re-connecting after sleep mode or after using a 3G modem. I have had to run the Windows 7 troubleshooter in order to re-connect and even then it sometimes does not work without a reboot.
I'm still searching for a solution.
Other Thoughts: Thanks for the tip regarding disabling the Powernow option in the BIOS! It now plays the 1080i TS files well in battery mode too. Previously it would not.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I'm using the Audio Advantage on an old HTPC to pass through AC3/Dolby Digital 5.1 via SPDIF to my receiver. It works fine after doing the below software tweak in AC3Filter.
Cons: No audio input.
Other Thoughts: In order to get AC3/Dolby Digital 5.1 to pass through SPDIF it was necessary to adjust the following settings in AC3Filter Config Menu: Change Output to "3/2+SW 5.1 Channels" and check "Use SPDIF" box.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Acer X193W+BD Black 19" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 2000:1 (ACM)
Pros: Picture looks way better using DVI than with analog. Just one of a few 19" monitors with 16080 X 1050 resolution. Good price at $159.
Cons: Wobbly stand. No drivers included. As a result the monitor shows up as "Plug and Play Monitor" in device manger. Analog picture quality is disappointing. Menu selection is not easy.
Other Thoughts: I had to use the analog input at first because I was using a KVM switch. When I switched over to a DVI cable the difference was very noticeable.READ FULL REVIEW
