1 out of 5 eggs Review Title :- Confused - a bad performing product 03/03/2014

This review is from: TP-LINK Archer C7 v2 AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router IEEE 802.11ac, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n

Pros: No other feature justifies as good, even if any, when the very function of the product fails - to let us work wireless.

No Pros.

Cons: I put this product under constant vigil & study soon after the installation, and it's been a week and found issues ranging from signal drop to the router malfunction itself. All the severe issues, to mention.

I will be elaborate in sharing my findings, whatsoever.
Background -

Product :-
NewEgg shipped me Archer C7 V1 ( on the Tp-Link product page, there are two versions - V1 & V2), and this version details aren't mentioned anywhere on NewEgg product page.
Based on my communication with TP-Link Tech Support - "V2 has improved chipset which is DFS certificated. The flash capacity is 16MB compared to 8MB of V1. V2 also fixed a few bugs on V1", implying V2 has hardware betterments along with software updates.

Setup :-
Configured router in concurrent dual-band with different SSIDs for 2.4 & 5GHz bands. Enabled setting that SSIDs has to be broadcasted and changed all the default system passwords.
The firmware on the product is the latest as specified on the TP-Link support page.

Client Devices :-
2 latest laptops - configured to use 2.4GHz & 5GHz
1 Smart Phone - configured to use 5GHz

Issue # 1 :- 5GHz indicator flashes (indicates operational, based on TP-Link product documentation) but the band vanishes abruptly and I couldn't see a reason for it. The reboot remediates and devices can connect to this channel for an hour or so and then, it just doesn't appear in the network list.

Issue # 2 :- 5GHz indicator stays On (no definition provided in the documentation ) and I can't see this in the network list.

Issue # 3 :- The "system LED" doesn't glow(malfunction or system error, based on documentation) but all other indicators flash. Both the bands vanish.

Issue # 4 :- The "system LED" stays On(malfunction or system error, based on documentation) but all other indicators flash. Both the bands vanish.

Only reboot cures these issues and but only for a certain period. I've read all the reviews, did enough research before placing bet on this product because I either ignored those reviews or I doubted their technical capability.

Now, I advise to those who's giving this product a good review, to wait and use it for a week or so before writing your thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Will have to send it back and try V2.

4 out of 5 eggs Good for price - safe bet 03/03/2014

This review is from: Coboc 6 ft. HDMI® A Male to A Male Cable (Black)

Pros: Worth per price is highly justified. As several noted, this cable is little skinny but is doing its job absolutely fine. I own two cables for about 3 months and none has failed my bet.
I haven't noticed any signal interference, noise or other depleting quality-of-service matters.

Cons: Nothing much for what was paid.
