Pros: WD has a great reputation. It was built on performance. Their drives have been bullet-proof over the years. I use them almost exclusively.
Cons: I have had three drives fail in the past three years. The last one was just RMA'd. It had been up for 8 weeks. I feel the quality of WD drives is sliding from what their reputation dictates.
Other Thoughts: Download Data Lifeguard tools for your particular WD drive. If you've seen a HDD go south enough times then it will save you some grief thinking it is other components. Yes, WD was gracious in sending out a replacement even though I must pay shipping on the RMA'd unit. Hey, many companies would tell you to take a hike. Just got hosed this time that's all.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The Blonde in the high heels with the nice tush is high maintenence...right? You want a home girl...you get a home girl.
Cons: So if you want her ridin' with you then you gotta pay to play...right? OK, so then go back to on board graphics. You go home girl!
Other Thoughts: The advise was to get the drivers from the HIS site and be done with it. I did and I was. In 5 minutes I was done. Then...I couldn't live with the yellow be-otch in DV. So started tinkering...long story short...don't tinker. Uninstalled and reinstalled via the disc. BSOD. Updated the driver via CCC. BSOD. Rolled back driver and updated 11.3 hotfix manually. BSOD. Tried installing just the HDMI driver but with no HDMI to connect to it didn't install. Changed the jumper on the board for the HDMI. Yellow tulips. After wasting 6 hours I said frigg it. The card rocks, I got yellow tulips and I don't care. Nice blondes in high heels have issues...deal with it.READ FULL REVIEW
