This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX Extreme Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm
Pros: - Quiet, keeps CPU temps low even with overclock. I never even have to enable performance mode even with overclock.
Cons: - None
Other Thoughts: I had to RMA my original right after I got it. I received one of the first batches and they had a known defective pump bearing that would make a loud sound. Corsair sent me another and I RMA the other at no cost. Great customer support.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASRock Z97 Extreme4 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: - 3 PCi 3.0 slots, not that I could ever use them all, maybe for future expansion?
- Great UEFI interface for easy overclocks, well laid out.
- Supports m.2 for future expand ability
- Never had an issue or crash.
Cons: - Not sure why they still include molex pin or VGA output on the motherboard, wasted space and costs.
Other Thoughts: Comes with a hdd saver cable that allows you to easily "disconnect" a hard drive from the system to hide the drive. I have no use it for it but just pointing that out. Great motherboard, I have owned a few asrocks boards, H97 itx, z97 itx, z97 extreme4 and built two computers for friends with z97 fatalty, and z170 extreme6 boards. Never had an issue or complaint. Asrock boards tend to come with a lot of features and they have stepped up their game in the past couple years. Their PCB use to be extremely thin, very few voltage regulators, and cheap capacitors but that has changed. They provide a lot of value in their boards now compared to competitors in my opinion.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: - It cools efficiently
- All hardware included and even extra stuff
- Comes with paste but I used my own
Cons: - Somewhat big and bulky
Other Thoughts: Very effective air cooler and keeps i7-4820k just above ambient temps and even overclocked to 4.8ghz the temp only gets to high 50s.
Can't compare vs stock coolers because lga 2011 cpu's don't ship with coolers. It is somewhat big and bulky so make sure you look at dimensions to make sure it will fit in your case. This cooler just barely cleared the height of my rams with heat sinks but overall very satisfied.
