This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: Delivers excellent cooling performance. Installation went well for a socket 775 Q9550 that was using a Dual core cooler for a few days. Prime 95 went from 82(stopped at that) to the mid 40s running for hours! It idles at 27 with slight overclock to 3.1. (Other cooler idled at 46). Shame my board can't overclock more, this cooler would easily handle it. Heat pipe base feels cool to the touch.
Installation went well, product was well laid out. The instructions helped me but if you are unsure what direction to flip the rear bracket watch a video. This cooler is great for my Hackintosh which may run a bit hotter.
Cons: Make sure this would fit in your case. My case is about 7.25" on the outside, and it fits perfectly. Look up the spec and measure. I don't have any issues with ram being blocked, but the board only holds 2 units of ram.
Other Thoughts: For what this cost after rebate you can't really go wrong if it fits your case. I can't vouch for the fan longevity, but it is a very nice cooler.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This card delivers 3 monitors in Windows AND in a Hackintosh setup. Not all cards can do this, some 730s actually can't do 3 screens. The 2 series cards can't. Only Kepler and up chipsets can give 3 screens.
For the hackintosh, There are some changes you have to make for 3 monitors to the boot up string (disable nvidia injection and nvda_enable=1 and machine profile (14,2) but it works awesome. 25.5fps Cinebench score on an older dual core, so it is respectable for a card with no additional power. Also, the very well designed heatsink does not hog up the next valuable slot(in my case the only pcie, needed for usb3). The heatsink don't get too hot either, and it is extremely quiet. Takes up a full x16 pcie slot.
Cons: These cards are a compromise, but if you don't want to spend a lot of money they are ok for games in lower resolutions. More than enough for casual us, and a very cheap way to get 3 screens on a budget PC. They are much faster than built in graphics.
Other Thoughts: Hopefully they pay the rebate....READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TUL G41D3C LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Basic inexpensive Motherboard for the last generation of Intel Processors. Was able to do a slight overclock.
Cons: Does not support S3 sleep state. In other words your mouse won't be able to wake up this computer, you will have to press the power button after it hibernates. Also, this company ignores rebates.
Other Thoughts: I don't think I would buy Biostar again because they don't even respond to multiple emails about rebates to their company email. The rebate is indicated on their site but weeks overdue. Imagine if there is a problem with the board?READ FULL REVIEW
