Pros: Bright colorful high contrast screen with good viewing angle - like IPS should be. Unobtrusive power light. VGA/DVI/HDMI inputs. Came with a full set of video cables (see cons).
Cons: Arrived with two DVI cables, but no power cord. Fortunately I found one at a local store.
Base was slightly bent - 5/8 inch (15mm) difference between height of lower left and lower right corners. Tried reassembling it several times to make sure it wasn't 'operator error'. Eventually assembled it with a shim it so it sits level. One egg off for each fault since either one would be cause for an RMA.
Other Thoughts: Glossy screen which some people won't like, and it uses a power brick that some people won't like either.
The crooked base was a disappointment since I chose this monitor over another monitor because the other had a reputation for wobbling. But, even shimmed up, the base is pretty solid.
FYI, the monitor will auto-switch to the next live input if the signal from the current input stops.
The power/menu buttons are practically invisible, but easy to operate by touch since a small menu pops up above them when pressed. If you hate excessively bright power indicator lights, you will love this one. It shines down onto your desk instead of into your eyes. There's a magnet in the base allowing you to accumulate small metallic objects, but keep your floppy disks away! LOL!
If it had come with the power cable, and the base had been straight, I'd rate it an excellent monitor for the money. I've been using it 2-4 hours per day with no problems for 2 months now (home use). However, because of the mis-manufactured base, I can only rate it as a good monitor. Acer needs to step up their quality control a bit.

Pros: Quiet 12cm fan, powerful, plenty of connectors.
Other Thoughts: Bought one of these in 2007 because the motherboard in my wife's computer needed the EPS connector. Removed the old one, hooked this one up, and it's been running fine ever since. This is our 'media' pc with tv tuner, big hard drive, etc. It's seen nearly 24/7 use and hasn't given us any problems.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Quiet, cool, fast.
Other Thoughts: I've had this thing running 24/7 for a couple of months, and run a full virus scan on it twice a week, and an erase job once a week. No problems. HD Tune says the temp runs around 25c, and transfers data at 110 MB/s (up from 55 MB/s for my old S**g***). I've got 80mm (ps) and 120mm (case) low noise fans installed, and I have yet to hear any sound from the drive.READ FULL REVIEW
