Pros: No issues powering my System at all.
Gigbyte UDR3- X58
Xfi Soundcard with front bay
2 6950 toxics unlocked in CF
2 Segate HD's
Other Thoughts: Did a ton of research trying to figure out with 850 watts would be enought to power my system with the two new 6950 toxics. I tried using PSU calculators but they would come up at about 1000Watts which did not make sense. After looking at some of the reviews for this PSU i saw that somone was already using this to power 3 6950s and did not even have a single issue. After using this PSU for some time and pushing my system to the max I know that I made the right choice. Will always use Corsair from now on.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: -Amazing power for the price paid
-Bought 2 for CrossFire and they both unlocked with just a flip of the dual bios switch. (Lucky to get both to unlock!!!)
-Runs crysis 2 on ultra settings without a Hiccup!!
Cons: -Wish I had a monitor that supported 1920x 1080, just can not justify buying another monitor just for that small increase from 1680x1050. If if were in the budget I would get a monitor that supported 2560x1440 and really put these cards to work!!
Other Thoughts: I only had one issue and it really was something that just took a little research and it was solved. AMD has a power saving feature that will shut off the second card if it is not in use. This may be nice for some users, but I wanted to be able to monitor and use fan profiles for both of the cards at all times. I finally found a forum on Overclock.net that explained to me how edit the windows registry to turn the power saving option off. Turning it off allowed me to adjust the fan speed of the second card which gave me the options to create fan profiles and possibly overclock the card if I wished to do so.
Another note, if you see this card in stock BUY IT QUICK!! I got very lucky that I checked my Email when I did because 1 hour after I bought these 2 cards they were sold out!
i7 920 OC @ 4.2 Ghz
6Gb of Gskill RAMM
2 Unlocked 6950/70 in CrossFire
X-fi Fatality sound card with Front bay
Corsair 850HX Psu
Pros: Fantastic memory! Clocked right up to 1600 without a hitch and has been running in my system like a champ ever sense I bought them.
Cons: None Great memory!
Other Thoughts: I will always be a G skill buyer from now on. Used to be a Kingston Hyper X owner but they seem to be charging their loyal customers a little to much these days for quality Ram. G Skill gives you the Quality and the low price.READ FULL REVIEW
