This review is from: ZyXEL GS1100-24 10/100/1000Mbps 24-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch
Pros: I was starting to have issues with my home network, with my TV service being AT&T's excellent IPTV-based U-verse, with smart TVs in a few rooms, four people on laptops and cellphones, etc. So I put this in service right off my incoming gateway, and pretty much all my network congestion problems went away. Pretty powerful for the price. I also bough a few smaller ZyXEL AVS105 Aerobeam switches (these were especially cheap) to sprinkle throughout the house and all these ZyXEL switches seem to play nice together. I basically rewired my whole house with gigabit Ethernet for about $100. I have now also added a ZyXEL media server NSA320 with a Seagate 4TB drive installed and I now have whole house backup over gigabit Ethernet.
Cons: I do wish the power cord was on the same side of the box as the network connections so I could better hide the cabling out the back of the box. As it is, no matter what, you are going to have some cable coming out the front.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I have a predecessor model, the MFC-J425w and it works well. The ink is cheap. It copies well. But what I really love is its auto feed scanner. I have probably scanned a thousand pages of documents that I had in my file cabinet - all my old statements. I may never need the old copies, but I can pull them all up in a jiffy. I have been reviewing my old utility bills to see how well my energy saving activities have worked.
Cons: No real complaints.READ FULL REVIEW
