This review is from: 9-10mm Cultured Freshwater Pearl Necklace
Pros: Beautiful pearls, individually knotted, great value, fantastic color and sheen, and best of all... she absolutely loved it!
Cons: Not a big deal -- especially at the price I paid -- but up close, you can see that they are not all perfectly spherical. However, I think that is typical of freshwater pearls. Besides, at a normal distance -- a foot or so away -- you can't tell.
Other Thoughts: I don't know much about pearls, but Newegg was running a deal on these for $33! So, I figured I couldn't go wrong at that price, and bought them to give to my new wife (at the time fiancee). I surprised her with them during our honeymoon as we were getting dressed up for a nice dinner. She was so happy she was in tears!
She simply adores them and has worn them every day since!
This review is from: SuperSonic SC-602 HDTV and Digital TV Indoor Antenna
Pros: Once aligned and positioned correctly, this antenna was able to tune all local broadcasts. I just put it together (which took about 30 seconds), plugged it in, pointed it at the broadcast towers, and BLAM-O, got all the local channels -- even those pesky VHF stations that were always in-and-out with my previous antennas.
Cons: The antenna's coax cord is very short (about 3'). You may need another cable and a male-to-male adaptor to position it.
I actually still get some occasional blocking/freezing on one VHF station with the antenna sitting on a stereo speaker 3' off the floor. If I hold it about 6' off the floor, the reception is perfect. I should go ahead and mount it to the wall there, but I'm lazy. I'll probably get on it tomorrow.
Other Thoughts: I gave KableTown the heave-ho two years ago in favor of free over-the-air TV. I had tried 3 different antennas (both amplified and non-amplified), and none of these could get all the channels clearly all of the time. I live only 8 miles from the broadcast towers, but I'm told that living in an old masonry house with plaster walls in a wooded neighborhood adversely affects the ability to receive signals.
Now, with this antenna, I don't have to get off the couch and re-adjust it when I change channels!
This review is from: KINGWIN KW-05 Black 1 x Wheel USB RF Wireless Optical 1600 dpi Mouse
Pros: Excellent mouse for the price. Actually, it would be an excellent mouse at twice or 3x the price! It has a good feel, and onscreen cursor movement is smooth and precise.
Oh, and batteries (2 x AAA) are included!
The USB receiver is tiny. It only protrudes about 1/4" from the case, and has its own secure (so far) slot in the mouse itself for when you pack it up and throw it in your laptop bag.
Cons: I'll let you know when I find one! I know some people may think a tiny receiver is a con, but I like it.
Other Thoughts: As stated previously, the mouse will go to sleep during an extended period (maybe 10 min? Don't know if this can be adjusted) of inactivity. Mouse inactivity, that is -- so if you are typing a document or watching a movie, the mouse will go to sleep even though the computer is active. This was an annoyance at first, but it comes back to life by clicking the button on the top of the mouse. This took some getting used to, but in the end, it is a great battery saver.READ FULL REVIEW
