Pros: Powerful dual core CPU, plenty of memory, great screen, good for gaming with 2GB NVidia GeForce GT 630M, all for a great price
Cons: Shiny black plastic picks up fingerprints quickly and shows easily, 5400RPM HDDs still? Why aren't they 7200RPM standard these days?
Other Thoughts: Works great with WIN7, did an upgrade to WIN8 but ended up going back to WIN7 because of compatibility issues with older programs with WIN8. Nothing against the laptop or Acer, definitely a Windows issue.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes
Pros: Very quiet and almost totally silent, keeps CPU cool even under load, lightweight so it doesn't weigh down the board
Cons: AM3 adapter to keep heatsink on CPU was off significantly for screw holes, had to use a dremel to the adapter to lineup properly. Obviously this heatsink was designed more for the Intel setup than for AMD and the adapter is an afterthought.
Other Thoughts: Once you modify the adapter to actually fit properly, its easy to install on an AM3 system. The push/pull fan setup makes for very quiet operation, even under heavy load, while keeping the CPU cool. I didn't have any problem getting the fans or heatsink to fit in my case. If you aren't comfortable grinding on your adapter with a dremel tool to make it fit, you should probably buy something else.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Lots of options and easy to use.
Cons: No USB 3.0
Other Thoughts: Great board with many options for customization in BIOS. I wish it had USB 3.0 on it, though. Guess I'll have to order a USB 3.0 card at some point.READ FULL REVIEW
