BitFenix Spectre Pro All Black 120mm Case Fan
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs BitFenix is the best 02/03/2013

This review is from: BitFenix Spectre Pro All Black 120mm Case Fan

Pros: -Durable
-Quite
-Comes with lots of extra goodies
-CFM to Noise ratio
-Cables are nice an long

Cons: -Mounting holes not pre-threaded
-Availability(often out of stock)

Other Thoughts: I purchased two of these to replace the stock fans included with the Corsair H100i closed-loop liquid CPU cooler. The H100i fans were sooooo loud. These are significantly more quiet and way more durable. These almost reduced the sound by half. Yet they are still capable of performing to almost the same temperature. There is a difference of less than 5degrees C. For the noise reduction, I will take the couple extra degrees of heat. My system never pushes more that 75C and that is during Benchmarking.

5 out of 5 eggs Update to previous review 02/03/2013

This review is from: Kingston HyperX KHX-FAN Fans

Pros: Still performing well
Beautiful

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I originall thought that these two fans were making all the loud noise in my case. I was wrong. It was actually the two stock 120mm fans that come with the H100i closed-loop liquid CPU cooler. These fans operate at an average noise level.

CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

4 out of 5 eggs Update to my previous 02/03/2013

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: -Still keeping my CPU cool
-Not having any mounting problems
-Corsair link software lets me change the logos colors

Cons: -Fans are SOOOOOOOO loud at max

Other Thoughts: So I just thought that having 19 fans in my AZZA Genesis 9000 case was the reason why it sounded like a jet engine. I was wrong. The two included fans provided by corsair are the reason. These things are LOUD, very very LOUD. 37.68dBA my but. I think that 38dBA is the setting you get at normal mode. If these things need to kick up the pace and max out, they gotta be pushing more like 45-50dBA. The difference between 38dBA and 48dBA is the difference between someone whispering in your ear and someone talking at a normal tone in your ear. I swaped out these two fans for BitFenix Spectre PRO and the difference is so noticable. Overall, the cooler still performs quite well. However, sub-par fans warrants scrambling an egg.
