Pros: It looks pretty.
Cons: Looking pretty is all it will do. Board arrived defective. I overnighted this worthless thing so that my system would be up and running for an event this weekend. Now, because I have to RMA their poor quality board, it will be the middle of next week before it will be up.
Asus has always been my #1 MB manufacturer. I have a half dozen of them across all my machines. Because of the situation of being let down when I needed reliability the most, this single incident is infuriating enough to make me never, EVER buy another ASUS board, or even product for that matter.
Shame on you, ASUS. You lost a die-hard supporter.
Pros: Very nice picture, sturdy stand.
Cons: Good luck ever getting to use them. Seriously, if you ever have to turn them off, it will take you a week to get them all to turn back on. The remote will never control all the monitors, it will always leave at least one out of its configuration. If you turn the power off on a monitor for whatever reason, there's about a 10% chance of it turning back on. I was out of town all last week so I turned them off to save power, I came back Friday and turned them on, and got the bottom left, top middle, and bottom right monitors to turn on. I've spent every day of this weekend just trying to turn the stupid things on, and I still haven't been able to use it yet and I fly back out tomorrow morning. Right now I'm using the top left, bottom left, and bottom middle monitors because those three decided to turn on this morning.
For $3600, you'd think they would be more reliable, if I could get a refund I would.
Other Thoughts: I don't think I've ever been so upset after a purchase before in my entire life. Minor problems were even overlooked such as 3 day shipping taking 10 days.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS M4A78 PRO AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: I can't divulge any Pros about this board, as congress has yet to pass the bill allowing mine to function.
Cons: Claims to support 1066 RAM, but only does so in dual channel. Claims to be compatible with Phenom II, but requires you to flash the latest BIOS first. Have tried multiple supposed compatible hardware configurations on two of these boards, and neither has worked. Asus support couldn't provide assistance, and all Newegg can do is replace it with another non-working board.
Other Thoughts: ASUS has always been my board of choice for the past 11 years that I've been building machines, but has extremely degraded over the years. I advise everyone to stay away from ASUS until they get their act together again.READ FULL REVIEW
