5 out of 5 eggs Def Tech SR-8040BP 01/26/2014

This review is from: Definitive Technology Surround Loudspeaker

Pros: Attractive, and sound great,I have these mounted 4ft behind and 6ft (side walls) above my recliners,The couch is on the back wall about 2ft behind the SR-8040 BP'S,Powered by a RX-V375,with BP8B'S and CS8040HD,and I am quite pleased,I also have a YST-SW 216 and for 5.1 it is impressive,

Cons: A bit expensive, especially the center,

Other Thoughts: Understand these cabinets have small drivers, small drivers with great sound for size, and are plenty enough for a small to mid size home theater, If music is your thing then I would recommend larger drivers,

5 out of 5 eggs Def Tech BP8B 12/30/2013

This review is from: Definitive Technology Bipolar BP8B Floor-standing Speaker Single

Pros: Crystal clear highs with adequate lows,5yr warranty and at 199.00 a piece, I had to have a set,They sound Fantastic right out of the box,Def Tech says 20-40 hrs break in and at the 10 hr mark,I could hear a difference,A more enveloping soundfield,These are wonderful speakers.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have these up front,A CS8040HD center,Mythos Gems for rear surrounds and a Yamaha YSW216 sub, wired to a Yamaha RX-V375, Speakers are set to small and crossed over @80, with the sub gain @ 50% in a 14x16x8 ft room and it sounds great for HT,I have heard better for music but not for the money.

5 out of 5 eggs Rx-V375 12/30/2013

This review is from: Yamaha RX-V375 5.1 Channel 3D AV Receiver

Pros: Easy to setup,I am using the RX-V375 with a Def Tech CS8040HD center and Def Tech BP8B's up front with Mytho's Gems for rear surrounds, with a Yamaha YSW216 Sub and it sounds great right out of the box, Packs a lot of punch for the money,

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If all you need is a simple easy to use AVR with great sound,Then Look no further. You get a lot of bang for your buck here.
