This review is from: Logitech Z623 200 W 2.1 Speaker System, THX-Certified
Pros: Loud, sound quality, build quailty, value, THX certified.
Cons: No remote, static when pushing power button, proprietary, small area of laminate peeling off, can get you in trouble in dorm or apartment.
Other Thoughts: I have owned these speakers for over a year now and all I can say is wow! This setup is worth every penny. Great power, sound quality, and bass. The amount of bass can be adjusted to suit your taste which is very useful. 3 inputs gives them versatility. They look great and are solidly built. The only things to think about is that there is no remote to adjust volume levels otherwise they would work great on a TV. Also when turning on or off the power button there is static and chatter on the speakers for a second or two. On the subwoofer in one of the corners the black laminate is peeling off of the wood, but it can be easily glued back on if so desired. Finally blasting these beasts can get you in trouble quickly. Overall these are probably the best buy for computer speakers or even a budget TV sound upgrade.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good size, good picture, viewing angles, ips, thin profile, thin bezel, good price, reliability, American company, industrial look, glossy screen.
Cons: Subpar build quality and materials, buttons and menu interface could be better, no VESA mounts, weird sounding audio passthrough, glossy screen, fingerprint magnet.
Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor off of dell.com a couple months ago in February 2013 for $183 after shipping. I wanted a midsized monitor with IPS and hdmi. It has done what I expected well with good picture quality and viewing angles for a great value from an trusted American company. However I am a perfectionist and can be nitpicky about my technology. The glossy screen provides better accurate colors but at the cost of picking up fingerprints and glare. The design is appealing to look at except up close where plastic materials and gaps between parts are noticeable. The design has a thin profile and bezels are slim for a modern look or a great dual monitor setup. When using the audio passthrough there was some static and other noises added to the sound. The menu buttons are suffficient but on the side (which is hard to reach with dual monitor setup) and they all feel similar. Also there is no VESA mounting screws for more flexibility. Overall it is worth the price but keep looking if these cons might bug you.READ FULL REVIEW
