Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: You can't beat the price. Rebate came through. Great cheap option when working on a friend's computer. Not had one fail yet.

Cons: Not as quiet as some, but perfect for the price. Rebate process is a little weird, but it came through in the end.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased many Cooler Master fans on Newegg, and not had any problems. The rebates have always come through for me... just follow the instructions.

5 out of 5 eggs Better poached eggs 01/27/2013

This review is from: West Bend 86628 White Automatic Egg Cooker

Pros: Does 4 poached eggs at once, and cookes them perfect. It has a thin metal insert with non-stick coating for this purpose, and cooks them evenly. Also, it will steam 7 "boiled" eggs at once; you have to pierce the tops of eggs with the included water measuring cup (it has a sturdy lance on the bottom). And, the shell peeling process is quick and easy...I'll never go back to regular boiling again!

Cons: Another review mentions trouble with the non-stick coating on the poached egg insert. I haven't had any trouble with it, but I do oil the surface before i put the eggs in... not so good if you are trying for less fat.
The "Done" alert is an annoying buzzing sound, but I guess that's the point of an alert. (Another cooker I tried has a high pitched "beeping" sound, but low enough volume to not be as annoying)

Other Thoughts: I Originally purchased the other one on Newegg instead of this one, because this one had lower reviews, and has a plastic dome. Later I saw this one on sale, so I had to try it out. I'm glad I did, because the poached egg results on this one are way better than the other one. I still use both units, when I want to boil more than 7 eggs at once. If I could only choose one unit, though, I would have to pick this one.
The included measurer/piercer is skinny and takes up little room in my kitchen drawer.
I did write a review for the other unit I bought, if anyone is interested in a comparison.

Cuisinart CEC-7 Stainless Steel Egg Cooker

4 out of 5 eggs best boiled eggs 01/27/2013

This review is from: Cuisinart CEC-7 Stainless Steel Egg Cooker

Pros: Holds 7 "boiled" eggs at once. Actually it steams them, and you pierce the tops with the included water measuring cup (has strudy lance on the bottom). I love not having any problem peeling the eggs afterwards.

Cons: Poached eggs not the best: Can only do 3 at a time. Who makes 3 poached eggs at once? 2 or 4 seem normal to me. Also the poached egg insert is made of thick plastic, so the tops of the eggs get done well, with the bottoms still a little raw.

Other Thoughts: Originally purchased this model, over the other one on Newegg because of the reviews and name brand recognition, and I liked the idea of a stainless steel dome, instead of the plastic one. I have since purchased the other one, so I can make 14 boiled eggs at once. I have to say I like this one for boiled eggs better (due to clean-up ease), but the other one seems a lot better for poaching. I left a review for that one as well.
