This review is from: Rosewill R-APG6001 GPS, iPhone, Smart phone vent mount
Pros: I did NOT have any major problems getting this into my car. Maybe I was lucky, but it took me no more than 10 minutes to figure out everything and to put my GPS in it. This unit came FREE with my Garmin nuvi 1350 purchase and I couldn't be happier. I didn't like the suction mount for the dashboard or the windshield that came with the Garmin inside the package. I'm glad I was hooked up with a FREE vent mount from Rosewill.
Cons: The vent didn't seem like it could stretch out wide enough to hold my GPS (GARMIN nüvi 1350 4.3" GPS Navigation). However, I managed to squeeze it in tightly and it's a snug fit.
Not really a con, but I just thought you should know that it barely holds a 4.3" GPS. However, I will say that on several bumpy rides on the road, the GPS did NOT fall out of the vent mount. Maybe it's not such a bad thing after all?
Other Thoughts: I don't know why there are so many haters. I know the vent mount didn't come with instructions, but seriously guys. We're all Newegg nerds, I mean customers, and let's use our brains for once. It's not that difficult to put 3 or 4 pieces together and figure out how it should fit in the air vent. It's actually more adjustable than what some of the other reviewers make it seem. I have it tilted at just the right angle for me to see as I'm driving and there's no glare. From my experience, Rosewill makes decent products and this is NO exception.
I know it's plastic, but I mean, you really have to try hard to break the thing or make it snap. Come on guys, really?
This review is from: GARMIN 4.3" GPS Navigation
Pros: I bought this to help me navigate through the freeways of Southern California and it works great. It's quick at re-calculating routes should you make a wrong turn and is definitely user friendly. I really like the design and layout because it's easy to use and navigate through the buttons and controls. I like the ecoRoute feature which gives me an idea of how much each trip is costing me and I enjoy the Favorites List to put down my favorite destinations.
You also have the option to customize your vehicle and change the voice on the GPS. FYI: Elfred and an ice cream truck brings a smile to my face when I'm sitting in traffic!
Cons: Sometimes it feels like it's lagging, but I remind myself that this isn't suppose to be a high-end computer ... lulz
The lane-assist feature could have been better, but it works well enough for my needs. Docked 1 egg for that.
Other Thoughts: This came with a FREE Rosewill vent mount (Rosewill R-APG6001). Please read my review there too.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: V568 Black Hawk Mini RC Remote Control Gyro Helicopter
Pros: It's a great little toy with lots of fun. I've always seen these things fly at the mall, but they never let you fly one to test it out. I saw this deal on Newegg and just had to get it. Not bad for my first RC Helicopter. Maneuvering took a little getting used to, but great for a beginner like me.
Cons: The on/off switch on the helicopter looks and feels fragile. The charger to the helicopter also feels a bit weak. You almost feel like you can break them every time you plug it in or take it out.
Other Thoughts: I've banged this thing so many times and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten up and left me yet. I've ran it into the ceiling, walls, window blinds, my brother, etc. and this toy is durable. For something to handle all that abuse, this RC Helicopter is a trooper!READ FULL REVIEW
