ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

4 out of 5 eggs Very quiet, but not much airflow 01/24/2015

This review is from: ENERMAX UC-12EB 120mm Case Fan

Pros: extremely quiet, can't even hear them at full speed

Cons: don't seem to move much air

Other Thoughts: I bought these knowing they were only rated for 44 cfm of airflow, but honestly they don't seem like they're moving that much air. I have no way of actually testing that besides taking a guess though.

2 out of 5 eggs good airflow, but got noisy over time 01/17/2015

This review is from: ARCTIC F12 Fluid Dynamic Bearing Case Fan, 120mm Quiet Blade Design, 74CFM at 22dBA

Pros: Moves a ton of air. Looks cool too.

Cons: Started making noise after a couple months.

Other Thoughts: I bought a pair of these fans when I built my pc last spring. I had these fans mounted horizontally as top exhausts, which in theory should be fine as fluid bearings don't care too much about orientation.

The first few months were fine, but slowly they both started making rattling and resonating sounds. I just recently bought new fans to put as the top exhausts and moved these to vertical positions as a side intake and a rear exhaust and the fans have for the most part shut up, barring a low resonating sound at low RPM from the one fan.

Enermax ETS-T40-TB CPU Cooler With T.B.SILENCE PWM Twister Bearing Fan Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1150 and AMD FM2/FM1/AM3+
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Bought this earlier this year when it came out based on performance reviews at the time, and I'm glad I did. This thing keeps my FX-6300 nice and cool. The fan barely comes off of idle.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It was a tight fit in my case (Raidmax Horus), but it does just barely clear the side. It just barely clears the ram too.
