Most Favorable Review

Part of the easiest build I've ever made

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL

Pros: RAM was recognized by the BIOS and is running just as advertised. Have tested thoroughly with several games/apps and have had zero crashes or blue screening. Saw all the good reviews for G.SKILL on here so I figured I'd give them a shot and I'm definitely impressed. Going forward they will be my brand of choice. Solid product.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Overall Review: Build was as follows: - ASUS P8P67 LE (REV 3) Motherboard (N82E16813131706) - Intel Core i5-2500k (N82E16819115072) - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL (N82E16820231427) - CORSAIR TX650 V2 650W Power Supply (N82E16817139020) - MSI R6870 Hawk Radeon HD 6870 1GB Video Card (N82E16814127560) - Antec Nine Hundred Two V3 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case (N82E16811129097)

Surprised

Corsair Raptor H5 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset
Corsair Raptor H5 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset

Pros: I've been using this headset as my main headset for a couple of months now and I'm surprised by the level of the quality of the headset. The quality of the audio is a major plus for this headset and the volume control is quite easy and convenient. The headset itself is extremely comfortable and does not cause any discomfort at all, even after long use sessions of 4+ hours.

Cons: Microphone level is extremely quiet out of the box. I had to boost the audio levels anywhere from 20-30 db in order for whatever was being spoken to be audible. Tested it in programs like TeamSpeak3/Steam and, with the boost, the microphone was offering pretty good quality. Just make sure that the program you want to use has noise cancellation as an option or it is built-in because obviously with the boost you can get a lot of background noise.

Overall Review: I took a gamble on this headset as it was on-sale for $40 with a $30 mail-in rebate. Corsair processed the rebate extremely fast (within 1 month turnaround for those interested). I've been using it via 3.5mm, not by the USB adapter, and I've been using their drivers which you can get from their website for Windows 7 x64. Needless to say, my expectations going into this purchase were quite low (especially given the poor reviews on here) but after this experience, I would definitely buy a Corsair headset again and actually I'd probably prefer it at this point.

A Steal @ $50

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL

Pros: Getting 2x 8GB. Reliable.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Just be aware you might have to set it manually to 1600 because it wanted to run it at 1333 on my ASUS P8P67 LE. That's about it. Not really a "con."

Newegg reviews are fantastic

ZALMAN Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler ZM-NC1000 Black
ZALMAN Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler ZM-NC1000 Black

Pros: Fairly quiet even on full speed. Seems to push a great deal of air. Extremely well made.

Cons: Has a short USB cord? That's about all I can come up with.

Overall Review: Have yet to receive the $10 rebate but at this point I don't really care. Trust the reviewers, it's well worth the $50 if you're in the market for a notebook cooler.

ESET Nod32 Antivirus 4.0 - 3 PCs
ESET Nod32 Antivirus 4.0 - 3 PCs

Pros: 1. Extremely lightweight program. 2. Scheduler allows you to break up large HDD scans into smaller scans. 3. Notifies you of Critical Windows Updates, or level of your choice, on the day they are released.

Cons: 1. Only is a year subscription, but hey you get three of them.

Overall Review: Will definitely be getting this again. Just an awesome product.

Part of the easiest build I've ever made

Intel Core i5-2500K - Core i5 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I52500K

Pros: Being my first full build since the P4 days, I wanted a fast processor but I wasn't about to spend $300+ for it. The 2500k fit the bill perfectly. Almost hard to believe the deal I got on it at the time. Not to mention tested it with most of the latest games and it runs them like a champ. To think, I was heavily considering going AMD for their prices. I'm glad now that I didn't.

Cons: N/A.
