This review is from: Fractal Design Define R4 Black Silent ATX Midtower Computer Case
Pros: The case design is well thought out and executed. As well, the build quality is quite good. Sure it has some plastic parts. But, it feels solid and not cheep at all.
The case comes with 2 fans. One front and one back. They are some of the quietest case fans I have ever used. When I boot the computer the ONLY sound I hear is the momentary chatter from the hard drive spinning up and even that is barely audible.
Building a pc in this case was a pleasure. No sharp edges anywhere and there is sufficient room behind the motherboard tray to hide cables. While not the best cable management out there. It wasn't hard to get everything where it belonged.
I highly recommend this case.
Cons: There are only a couple niggles about this case. While you can remove some of the sound proofing panels to install more fans, there isn't an included dust cover for any of those. Just would have been nice to have a factory solution. But, nothing to take an egg off for.
The case is roomy inside. However, if you have a long video card you will have to rearrange things just a bit to get it in with the hard drive tray. I have a Sapphire Vapor-X 290 and it required that I turn the hard drive cage to where the drives would be facing the side of the case thus impeding air flow from the front some. But, I was able to get it in so not going to knock off for that either. You can completely remove that cage and still have 3 5.25" hard drives at the bottom. So, not that big of a deal.
Other Thoughts: Full build
AMD Radeon Gamer Series 16GB
Seasonic M12II 850
PNY Optima 240GB SSD
Western Digital Black 2TB x3
Sapphire R9 290 Vapor-X OC
CPU never gets over 42c and Graphics never over 67c. The system is nearly inaudible when idle and only barely when under load.
This review is from: Saitek X52 Pro Flight System Controller
Pros: You are not going to find a better flight stick set at this price point. There are better out there. But, they cost a lot more. Ever function of the device is well thought out and placed.
Cons: The software on the disk is O L D. Don't even bother installing it. Even if you get it to run on your machine without complaint you will get a ton of drift on one of the axises. However, a quick trip to the support page will yield newer software / drivers that will make it sing.
Other Thoughts: Bought this stick in anticipation of Elite:Dangerous. I tried playing with mouse and keyboard and it is practically impossible. I plugged in the X52 Pro and it was like the game was designed specifically for it. I would expect the same is true of the upcoming Star Citizen as well.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This PSU is superb as are all the PSU's made by SeaSonic. It is quite and provided more than enough amps to push whatever you want to cram your computer with. What's more is that it does so with almost non existent current ripple and exceeds its listed specifications
Cons: Didn't come with a pearl red metal flake power coating. But nothing does.
