Pros: Reasonably light and thin; easy to carry around.
Higher performance laptop CPU.
Lighter 4-cell battery (lower weight, but not as much runtime)
Compatible with hardware-accelerated bitlocker encryption in Windows 8.1 when using an eDrive-compatible SSD (IEEE 1667 and TCG OPAL 2.0).
Cons: The battery is non-removable (unless you are willing to remove a few screws) and is only 4-cell.
Other Thoughts: We purchased this actually as a business laptop as it was cost-effective. We needed a high-performance quad core CPU and wanted integrated graphics (for maximum power efficiency and runtime).
Additionally, we were able to pair it with a Crucial m500 SSD for hardware-based full drive encryption in Windows 8.1 (to meet corporate security standards).
If you are looking for a good general use (or business) laptop, this would be a solid choice.
