This review is from: TRENDnet TEW-751DR N600 Dual Band Wireless Router IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u
Cons: Bought to get 5ghz coverage but the 2.4ghz coverage was much poorer than the router this one was replacing even though this router was placed in the exact same location configured for the same channel and verified to be configured for full power. The coverage is very disappointing so put original router back.
Other Thoughts: This review is a redo of the original where I gave this router a 2. Changing to 1 because I decided to give router another try after updating firmware. Taking away another star for two reasons, 1) though the web interface has the option of turning off each radio individually, turning off the 2.4 ghz radio also appears to turn off the 5ghz radio as SSIDs which were visible for both radios goes away. Also, after in use for a week, router decided to quit giving out iP addresses via DHCP for devices connected to the LAN ports? This router has been the worse wireless router I have ever owned. I will NEVER purchase another Trendnet product!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The 4-port RC-508 appears to have comparable throughput as the Rosewill RC-505 2-Port USB 3.0 adapters. I have several of the RC-505's and they have been solid for years.
Cons: I bought the RC-508 in November of 2015 to replace two RC505's to free up a PCI-e slot. It died as of tonight June, 2016, so I am not happy with this card compared to the RC-505. Will be contacting Rosewill Monday as this adapter is supposed to have a one year warranty.
Other Thoughts: Learned a lesson with this adapter. I had three 3tb drives connected to it and they all didn't show up when I booted up this evening. Tried reseating the card and reinstalling the driver but no banana for me. Reinstalled two RC-505s and all is well. Originally thought I might be putting too many eggs in one basket by plugging all my drives into one adapter, but didn't listen to little voice saying this might not be a good idea. Luckily, the adapter did nothing bad to the drives. Will not put more than two drives on an adapter going forward as these drives backup each other.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Team C145 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model TC145364GG01
Pros: Overall it works and has given me little problems though it did it did corrupt the files on it after extracting it from a blu-ray player once. Luckily, it reformatted OK and hasn't had any issues since. Also like the activity light built into the open/close mechanism button.
Cons: I have had this drive almost a year and find the USB connector protection mechanism very annoying. The internal catch feels like it barely catches so the connector can retract if the button is even slightly depressed, but that's not the main annoyance. The main source of frustration is, when extended, the connector is not exactly inline with the case but tilted down so you have to tilt the back of the drive down so that the connector is actually inline so that it will push into the connection otherwise you can connect the drive to the computer. This is very annoying and could have been designed better. Would not buy another one of these drives because of this.READ FULL REVIEW
