SiliconDust HDHR3-6CC-3X2 HDHomeRun PRIME 6CC - Six Digital Tuners, Anywhere on Your Network
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: 6 tuners, one box. Network connected so any computer can use it. Great when it works. iPad app to watch TV

Cons: New problems pop up every day and they are not always Microsoft's fault. Tuners don't always release. Sometimes WMC can't find a tuner when it can find a regular clearQAM tuner on my other SD box. Now today, a week after ownership, HDhomerun says that it can't get a channel line up on any computer so this is not a Microsoft issue.

Other Thoughts: Given the delays in this product, I would assume the reliability to be perfect instead it still seems half-baked and buggy. SD is still rolling out software and firmware patches. According to the forum, there are a couple of issues on the SD bench to be resolved in software updates.

Cisco Small Business WAP4410N Wireless Access Point 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps/ PoE/Advanced Security
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Bought another for my house in California. Out of the box, configured in 5 minutes and passing traffic. Works great. PoE.

Cons: Configure over a wire only. Antennas are ugly. Could have a better wall mounting system.

Cisco Small Business WAP4410N Wireless Access Point 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps/ PoE/Advanced Security
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Fast. Easy to set up - sort of. Web GUI makes it a no brained to set up.

Cons: The is another Cisco commodity product. The first one I got was DOA. It would constantly reboot when a client tried to access the network. Cisco confirmed this as a failure and Newegg replace it no questions asked. The second one I received works as expected... No reboots, lock ups, etc. Just set it up and forget about it.

Other Thoughts: Wireless management disabled out of the box is dumb. You need to manual hook a PC up to it before you connect it to your network. In this day and age, that's a little old school. The web GUI can be a little interesting for a newbie or typical consumer.
