This review is from: On Networks N150 Wireless Router, Open Source Ready - N150R
Pros: The biggest pro is the price..I've seen other reviews where people have gotten it for free with a rebate..unfortunately I had to pay $9.99($17 including s&h and tax) for mine but still an ok price I guess.
Cons: The cons for this router definitely outweigh the pros..The router is no longer supported as far as I can tell, I searched everywhere for a copy of the stock firmware after I bricked it while trying to install DD-WRT which would not install no matter how many times I tried..I tried tftp, webflash ect...Even followed the instructions and downloaded a firmware pack from another reviewer..NOTHING WORKED....I finally found a version of openwrt and gargoyle that would flash and kind of work but the settings vanished on reboot and also the repeater function that I wanted to use didn't work properly on gargoyle but kinda worked on openwrt, didn't matter anyway though because not being able to save and retain settings is totally useless. I did find an older version of openwrt that works fine and retains saved settings as long as you reboot using the web interface after each setting change..which is fine but not ideal..
Other Thoughts: I probably wouldn't recommend this router unless you need a very basic router and don't care about the crippled stock firmware...Also don't expect to be able to easily find and flash opensource firmware unless you get extremely luck...and forget about going back to the stock firmware if something happens because it's impossible to find..at least I had no luck finding it or any other info about the router...On Networks website redirects to netgear and they have nothing for this 4+ year old tech...a call to netgear might help but not worth the time..Better off paying a bit more to get something better.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low cost, 250gb, 6gb/s(not sure I believe it) 7200rpm and it works at least so far.
Cons: Quite slow for 7200 rpm 6gb/s drive my older Seagate 3gb/s drive is faster. it's a Refurbished item which I haven't had much luck with so far.
Other Thoughts: Against my better judgement I bought this drive even though it is Refurbished and so far it's ok..I bought a refurbished tablet on here and it died the day after my grandson opened it for xmas..I'm hoping I fair better with this refurb. The tablet was one day past the return date so if your refurb item is showing any signs of failure at all DON'T wait ...SEND IT BACK ASAP!!!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low Price, Cools my Fx 8320 (9-19 C most of the time, highest so far was 38 C) much better than the stock cooler(which also did an ok job), reasonably quite fans and has 2 of them. Will fit in Smaller cases. Works with most popular cpus.
Cons: Only one fan has a 4 pin header, the build quality is just ok and it's smaller and lighter than I was expecting which could also be a pro depending on how you look at it.
Other Thoughts: Not the highest quality cooler out there but it does the job and for less than $20 shipped I guess I can't complain.READ FULL REVIEW
