This review is from: SUPERMICRO MBD-X9DRI-F-O Extended ATX Server Motherboard Dual LGA 2011 DDR3 1600
Pros: FIRST: THIS BOARD USES THE "NARROW ILM" TYPE OF LGA 2011 SOCKET. This is not a flaw, but it means that most LGA 2011 CPU coolers will not fit; you will need one that comes with a bracket for the narrow ILM, such as the SuperMicro SNK-P0050AP4.
I bought this board for a home file server and to do some HPC on, and I'm quite pleased. It was easy to install (after I got the right CPU cooler, heh) and has the features I wanted -- lots of DIMM slots, plenty of SATA ports, and great remote monitoring.
I don't understand the other reviewer's comment about PCI-E cards colliding with the CPU cooler. There seems to me to be plenty of room. If this is a concern for you, I'd suggest pulling up the user manual from the SuperMicro site and taking a close look at the board layout. Use of a relatively small CPU cooler, such as the SNK-P0050AP4 I mentioned above, should help with this too.
