Easy installation, excellent reception and speed
Pros: Easy to install on Windows 7 x64 Full bar reception, I can also see a bunch of other networks I couldn't see before Fast The antenna cradle is useful, I can easily hide the antenna behind my monitor
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: I bought one for each computer. Both worked perfectly. I have only owned them one week. These replace two Linksys AE6000 that never worked right and kept disconnecting.
Has its quirks. Buy a different one.
Pros: Fast, lots of USB connectors, integrated Ethernet and Audio connectors Intel - Lots of support resources and documentation (comes in handy if something goes wrong, which it did)
Cons: Problems since the start with DDR3 running at 1333: board would freeze or crash every 6 to 12 hours. Thanks to Intel forums I found and confirmed that it runs fine on 2 dimms instead of 4 dimms, or you can increase RAM voltage to 1.75V to make it work with 4 dimms of that frequency. However, one of my two boards just died completely this morning (fan spins but no beeps).
Overall Review: The RMA procedure was easy and involved a chat and 15 minutes troubleshooting. Intel boards are actually the best I have used (I am a frequent builder). However, I am not buying this board again, and I am currently trying the newer DP55KG which takes advantage of the newer i7 processor.
Does not work well on Windows 7 64bit
Pros: Theoretically very fast but unstable in practice
Cons: I bought two of these thinking I was upgrading my previous wireless adapters. I own several computers. The ones with other adapters connect fine to my wireless router, so do my phones and TVs. This adapter shows full signal, and connects quickly, but the actual communication even on LAN works sometimes, in short spurts. I have tried everything I can think of and followed every advice and cannot get this adapter to work properly for more than a few seconds. If I were you I would avoid this one and get a different one. That's what I am going to do.
Not recognized by RAID controller
Pros: Very fast. Using it on Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers. Works with no problems when hooked directly to SATA ports on PCs.
Cons: Originally bought them to use with a 3ware RAID controller and replace some older Crucial SSDs. The ones I currently use are Crucial M4 512GB SSDs and after the firmware upgrade to 000F I have not had any issues, but these OCZ looked better on paper so I wanted to replace the Crucials. To my dismay the OCZ Vertex 4s are not recognized by the RAID controller.
Overall Review: My recommendation is to use them on PCs and directly attached to the mobo SATA port, not with a hardware RAID controller.
Nice air mouse
Pros: 1) Uses standard AA rechargeable batteries!! That was very important for me as it can save a lot of money in the long run as well as increase the usage time between charges 2) Good ergonomics. Size is perfect for the hand. 3) Accurate movement 4) Works perfect at 10', haven't tried longer distances 5) Customizable buttons
Cons: 1) Going from one mode to another requires flip of small dip switch (Other air mice have a button that easily switches it) 2) On my desktop, XP SP3, I have to wiggle the mouse during reboot otherwise it won't initialize and then will require that I unplug and replug it. Another user reported similar issue. IOGear support offered a replacement but I found the workaround above. 3) Once in a while it will miss a click, it seems as if it goes to sleep if you leave it still for a minute. 4) No software to setup gestures
Overall Review: I owned two air mice before this one, and before purchasing this one I tried, and returned, two other brands of air mice. I decided to keep this one. The AA rechargeable batteries were a big factor in my decision. Even with its cons it's better than other more expensive ones in my opinion.
