This review is from: Seagate Expansion 4TB USB 3.0 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive STEB4000100
Pros: Small for 4TB. Good quality outside plastic.
Transfer Speed (from an Internal SATA drive connected to a 6GB/S slot on the mother board to the external drive running on a 3.0 USB) is 92.5 MB/S.
Cons: Was hoping to break the 100MB/s mark for my setup. (Transferring large movies and TV Shows).
USB Cable is very short, 2 feet.
Power cable short as well at around 3 Feet.
Other Thoughts: Cable connection is a USB 3.0 Micro B to a standard USB 3.0.
Will post another review or change this one if it breaks in the future.
This review is from: Vantec 2.5"/3.5"/5.25" SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter - Model CB-ISATAU2
Pros: Works as intended. Awesome piece of tech for today, for archiving data and retrieving stuff from older drives.
Cons: The 4 PIN to Sata cable adapter is the lowest quality cable I have ever seen.
Cables are not clamped correctly and are falling out of the sockets.
Plastic is already somewhat brittle.
Hard drive connection To PC drops alot due to power cable, the smallest of bump to the cable makes it disconnect for a millisecond- Its impossible to do a proper format and I'm forced to do quick format.
I ended up having to leach of an internal power supply from my tower, instead of using the power supply provided with this product, do the the cable.
Other Thoughts: Works great but man that quality on the cables that came with it suck.READ FULL REVIEW
