Cons: I'm curious as to why my review was deleted, but this dongle is a nightmare to install. I'm sure there are those who didn't have an issue with installing it in Windows 7 64-bit, but based my on research, it seems like there are just as many who can't get the thing to work.
After installing/reinstalling a number of bluetooth stacks and spending the better part of a day trying to get it to work, it seems the only thing left to do is reformat and reinstall windows. A ridiculous solution in today's plug and play world. IOGEAR doesn't offer clear installation instructions, and their customer service is rude, ignorant, dismissive, and condescending.
Pros: I've yet to see any, but continuing to give it the old college try.
Cons: I have tried installing IOGEAR's Drivers, Broadcom's BT drivers, and a host of installing/uninstalling tricks involving plugging the device in or removing it at different moments during the process.
None have worked.
Windows 7 does not recognize the device as a Bluetooth Transmitter. It would seem that this problem is not rare, despite the positive reviews on this site.
Additionally, IOGEAR's customer service is unhelpful, rude, and condescending.
Other Thoughts: I will continue to toy with it and scour the internet for possible solutions considering that it seemed to work just fine on my girlfriend's windows 7 laptop, but if I can't resolve the issue I'll be returning it for a different device.READ FULL REVIEW
