SAPPHIRE Radeon X1800XT 100134L 512MB 256-Bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: max setting on all games w/ no fps loss (though i haven't tried oblivion yet)
HL2, FEAR, SIN ep1, Condemned, all max, very smooth,

Cons: pretty loud, at least compared to the GeForce 6800 i had before,
seriously difficult to install- unless I am just totally unable to install PCIe cards (and I've built a few systems so I know what I'm doing) installing this card scared me for some reason, it was so big, and it kept almost cracking, but in the end it seems to be in find, just a serious hassle compared to installing the mobo, ram, psu, evrything, heh

Other Thoughts: wish i had gotten the crossfire edition as well for a really really sweet set up

ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe 939 ATI CrossFire Radeon Xpress 3200 ATX AMD Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: XPRESS 3200 Chipset
Crossfire / SLI
Dual Gigabyte Ethernet
Easy to install layout
Overclocking options

Cons: pricey
none really

Other Thoughts: i don't have mine overclocked or in crossfire mode, I have a single X1800XT 512mb installed and it runs great - planning on putting in another, a crossfire edition x1800xt later this summer when i have some extra money, hopefully that works out. everything else on the board works like a dream. I upgraded from an ASUS A8V-Deluxe, which I found to be a nice board as well, just needed the PCI-e and 3 gig SATA.
