Pros: This laptop looks great and the sound is very nice. It comes with a great processor, ram and gfx card. They don't note it but this model does include the portable dvd drive. It runs cool and quiet. Very skinny and light.
Cons: The screen is just as awful as everyone else has said. The hdd is also VERY slow and loaded down with bloatware.
Other Thoughts: In the end you are getting what you paid for with this laptop. sacrifices have to be made somewhere for it to be priced so cheap. I just wish the screen could at least compare to my daughters $400 Asus. Yes.... it's that bad. Not just because it's a TN panel but because it is a VERY cheap TN panel. Any angle at all will distort the already dim picture.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It cools very well and looks nice. The build quality feels great.
Cons: It's LOUD! On a scale of 1-10 the Reference model is a 10 as far as noise, this I would put at a 9. It's just as loud but the pitch is lower.
Other Thoughts: Don't run it in crossfire and you might be ok if noise bothers you. Anything over 50% fan speed starts getting bad.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: MSI Z97-Gaming 5 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: It looks cool.
Cons: I hate this board. It won't read my boot drive half of the time and makes me un-hook my other drives and then restart before it sees windows. It makes you use the + & - keys to change any voltage / cpu values in bios, no slider, no click and scroll or enter your own. I also found out recently that it only has 4 analog phases on it that are doubled. Almost everyone else has moved to digital which includes Gigabyte / Asus's budget boards.
Other Thoughts: Should have stayed with Gigabyte and ignored the visual flare which seems to be Msi's only selling point. This things acts like it should have been 75 dollars and not 150.READ FULL REVIEW
