This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes
Pros: The only pro for this is the cooling tower is a good size.
Cons: I replaced this with a Noctua NH-U12S about 3 weeks after installing this hunk of junk.
The mounting bracket is terrible. There is no way to get a good fit when the mounting screws spin in the bracket.
As a result a mild OC on my i7 4770k idled in the 60-70s running prime95 forget it rocketed up over 100c. Most games took it to the mid 90s.
Other Thoughts: Save your self the headache and get a Noctua. They do cost more but you get what you pay for and that is a good mounting bracket solid performing air cooler. Should have just got it to start with.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good drive. Running on a PCI SATA1 card. So it does not give full SATA2 speed but I knew that getting the drive. As far as noise I have no idea it is a server in the closet so I don't hear it. Nothing beats a WD hard drive. Well maybe a Seagate...
Cons: Not a one. Wish I would have purchased a second one. Oh and no screws included.
Other Thoughts: Good drive for the money. Win Server 2003 sees the drive as a 149Gig. So take that into consideration.
Hooray for Newegg. Great packaging and fast shipping.
This review is from: Rosewill RC-209 PCI SATA Controller Card
Pros: Installed on an old p3 board and POSTed right away was detected by Win server 2003. No native drivers for it loaded drivers on the CD worked right away. Running a WD 160Gig SATA2 drive with out issue. Wanted a some more storage for the file server. Not running RAID but the interface seems easy enough.
Cons: Knew it when I got it that it would not give me the full speed running on the PCI bus, but that is no fault of the card.
Other Thoughts: Good card no issues getting it to work. There are 6 ports and you can use only 4 at a time and you have to set jumpers to select which ones you want to use. External disabled by default.READ FULL REVIEW
