Pros: Even though its thinner than the orig drive the bracket took care of that and it lined up exactly. Loaded windows 7 then the drivers and it works fast and no issues.
Cons: None yet....see below "other"
Other Thoughts: Now this is the "Other" how long will it last ? The orig was the same drive a WD Black and it lasted 4 years so not the best longevity but ok.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I replaced Ripjaws with these and they are slightly faster not by much. No Issues with a Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0
I always boot to the bios at first start with new ram to make sure all the timings and such are good.
Other Thoughts: My Ripjaws I have had running for 3 years now at least with no issues at all. G.Skill works for me I have e-mailed them and get a quick response every time. Hey nice color too..........READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: OK this card worked great! It is quite, installed without a hitch. It runs new games and old. I get most of my games from Steam and make sure they run on windows 7. It is small and will fit in almost all cases. Drivers disk came with card and installed fine.
Note: make sure you clean inside you machine and dump all your cache and uninstall old drivers and wont hurt to defrag the HD if you have a spin drive, before installing.
Cons: OK here is the bad....the rebate process is slow. it took many weeks after I mailed rebate for them to acknowledge they had received the rebate papers. OK got that squared away then the check never made it to the mail box so I emailed EVGA tech support and they put through to the rebate company to resend the check and low and behold that one made it. Now as you can see if you are super diligent and determined you will get the rebate but make photo copies and take pictures of the bar code taped or stapled to the form for proof you sent in the ORIG bar code.
Other Thoughts: Its to bad this rebate process is such a used car bait and switch or find the pea under what nut shell scheme. They really need to be a little more honest.
The rebate money is YOUR money not EVGA's so fight for it.
