Beautiful Case

LIAN LI ALPHA 550W White SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI ALPHA 550W White SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: - It's a great showcase for your build, visually great looking. - Comes with all the added touches you expect from Lian Li at a very good price. - Easiest case I've ever used in putting together a build. The fan/radiator brackets in particular are a helpful. - RGB bling just looks great with the white case, subjective but true.

Cons: - Not the greatest case in terms of airflow; might not recommend to someone who is trying to get an "extreme overclock". This case is a show-case instead, designed to like great while running under normal load w/o any issues; mine is handling a light overclock w/o any heat issues.

Overall Review: - The first one arrived after being dropped on it top but Newegg handled the issue well and got me a repalcement w/i a week.

Corsair 128GB Voyager GS USB 3.0 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 295MB/s (CMFVYGS3B-128GB)

Pros: As an update to my earlier review: It did a superb job with everything I threw at it. No issues whatsoever with it operation.

Cons: It only operated for ~3 weeks before failure. To be fair I did use it all day, 5 days a week as a technician but I'd be lying if I said I was disappointed that it failed as quickly as it did. No trauma to the drive; it just suddenly became recognized as raw data and Disk Management stated it was write protected.

Overall Review: Best USB drive I've used, when it worked.

CORSAIR Voyager Slider 8GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model CMFSL3-8GB/RF Factory Refurbished
CORSAIR Voyager Slider 8GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model CMFSL3-8GB/RF Factory Refurbished

Pros: Inexpensive for what it is, good brand name behind it.

Cons: Data unreadable after just over 30 days of use. I understood the realities of buying refurbished; just wished it held out for a bit longer.

Disappointed? Yes

MSI R9 290X LIGHTNING 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - Retail

Pros: Very nice packaging and sharp looks

Cons: Dead within two weeks. Black screened during normal windows session. Testing on multiple units. Seems to be a trend on recent negative feedback. Even when running O/C performance only average at best. It died the night after mailing in my box's UPC code for rebate. As such Newegg is refusing to RMA the unit even with no warnings listed regarding this " policy" that I could see. So after contacting MSI I know this: It'll be about 2 weeks for the RMA process, I am not fully guaranteed to receive back the same MODEL CARD, I am guaranteed it will be a used, refurbished unit. No options for a new unit at all even with offering to pay a premium. As a shopper with Newegg since 2001 I'm sorry to say this has left a bad enough taste in my mouth to force me to shop elsewhere first (and stop directing my clients to fill their orders here).

Overall Review: Seems a bit of a gamble lately with the responses stating DOA and black screening units
