Pros: Love the price of these drives, along with the performance. I've used the 128 and 256 models to upgrade users here at work who want to go to W7 from XP, and don't want a new laptop, and are small footprint users. They love the sub 30 sec (on Sata II boards) boot times.
THe oldest I have put a drive in is an E5400 Latitude and they have no problems being seen by BIOS, or being flashed with our corporate image
Cons: Firmware Updates are a major PITA. I have switched to using the Linux based upgrade OS on CD to upgrade firmware because of these drives not updating unless you have ACHI enabled with specific drivers enabled.READ FULL REVIEW
Cons: On second RMA
Other Thoughts: I've tried to use this in my Latitude E6520. First set caused random system lockups, Memtest revealed faulty DIMM's. RMA'd and received a new set. Immediate BSOD's. One stick tested good, but other is bad. I removed the heatsink to see if maybe I was grounding against something, but still faulty in either slot. Time to RMA againREAD FULL REVIEW
