Pros: I really can't find any Pros to rave about. Certainly not the price or performance. It does have 4 1GB ports, which I like.

Cons: I've been using D-Link products for years and have never had problems. I don't know what made me switch to a Netgear device, but I had to switch to something with more bandwidth. I have 10-15 devices that use Internet in my house and my old D-Link of 9 years is getting bogged down.

Their parental control is done through opendns. It's not even built into the unit. For ever device that you want to bypass parental controls you have to install Netgear Genie on that device....just stupid.

You can't forward an external port to an internal port like every other device out there.

You can't create a group of devices to block.

Scheduling kinda sucks..it's either on or off

Signal is very weak. Thing thing claims to boost signal strength, but it doesn't. I only get full bars of wi-fi on my phone if i'm within 5 feet. As soon as I step away, I'm down to 1-3 bars.

Other Thoughts: I hope most of the problems can be fixed with a firmware upgrade someday. I am a Systems Admin so I deal a lot with firewalls and switches. For the price point of this device I was hoping it would do some of the simple tasks that are built in with D-Link products. I don't use the USB port on the back, it doesn't look like a good idea. This device seems to under powered to be streaming media and besides, I have a dedicated server with Plex for my media streaming needs.

Pros: Inexpensive. Pure Google. No waiting for updates (4.1.2 as of today). Fast for today's standard (both GPU and CPU). 16GB of space is plenty. Pretty light. Pretty thin. Decent battery life. NFC. Pretty loud speaker. IPS display panel. Sweet Gmail App. I can finally play Plants Vs Zombies again.

Cons: Only 1gb of ram. No hdmi out (none on the official dock either). No SD expansion. No back camera. GPS requires data. Does get warm after pretty quickly.

Other Thoughts: Android 4.1.2 only adds an improved notification bar and enables the home dock to be used on landscape.
Newegg or their vendor must have had these babies sitting on the shelves forever because my battery was at 0%.
If you battery drains to 0%, the tablet will go into a safe-mode where it doesn't charge the battery.
To get the battery to charge, when the tablet is on, hold the power button until it shuts down and boots back up.
It takes about 30 seconds. DON'T LET GO.
I also bought the official ASUS travel cover for it. It's okay. No kickstand to stand it up.
Also make sure you use the bundled charger. The cell phone or USB 2.0 charger won't charge this while the screen is on.
