Pros: It looks nice
Cons: Does not fit a Samsung 950 pro 512Gb m.2 drive. The side of the connections with the most pins is not wide enough. The smaller side is about 2x as big as it needs to be. The drive has to be installed upside down (if it actually fit) which would cause overheating issues since the 950 pro's have thermal throttling issues already.
It comes close to fitting. But i would need to either grind down the edge of the connection on the enclosure or the drive.
No idea why it would not support the most popular m.2 drive there is. This enclosure is worthless
This review is from: Corsair Gaming VOID Wireless RGB Gaming Headset - White
Pros: It sounded decent. Was a bit heavy but was to be expected
Cons: Failed after one month. Battery will not charge and unit will not power on. Has seen very little use and has been taken care of very well. Very dissapointed
Other Thoughts: Will find out how long a Corsair RMA takes I guessREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Absolutely zero
Cons: Do not purchase this board unless you want an endless headache. I have built about 50 pc's in the last 5 years and never gone through anything like this.
I purchased one for a build I was doing for a customer. It arrived and on my test bench would not boot. At first I thought this was due to the significant warp in the board. Even the I/O shield would not line up correctly. I went through every troubleshooting step I could find and it was a no go. Being on a tight deadline I purchased a replacement with next day air and planned on reselling the first after it was RMA'ed. Another 2-3 hours of troubleshooting and come to realize it will also not boot. Keep in mind im $1500 in the hole for these boards at this point. With a replacement only return policy.
This motherboard only supports 16Gb memory modules on the latest 1.5 bios. INCLUDING the ones on the QVL. I happened to have a 16Gb stick of samsung server memory and a low end xeon that was on the QVL. It would not boot
I contacted asrock via phone 3 weeks ago and was assured I would have bios chips in my hand by then end of the week..... Still holding my breath. 2 more attempted contacts to asrock have failed in any response so far expect the generic we have received your support request.
I will have to purchase an 8Gb stick of ddr4 just to be able to resell these boards as used. Thanks asrock.
Other Thoughts: I have rma'ed boards in the past with both msi and asus. Both have gone well and eventually got good reviews from me. This experience has really been the worst from any manufacturer I have had.
I ended up going with an x99 deluxe. Came with the latest bios out of the box instead of the launch bios like asrock keeps shipping with, 5 versions out of date.
