This review is from: OKIDATA B411dn Workgroup Up to 35 ppm Mono LED Network Printer (91659803)
Pros: Low cost per page
Other Thoughts: I looked at a lot of printers for my home office and ultimately narrowed down the choices to this and the Hewlett Packard 400 MFP M401N. I probably would have been happy with either but I opted for the OKI because the cost per page was lower.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Nice picture, HDMI input makes watching movies off my camcorder convenient, large screen.
Cons: The sound is of average quality. Also, it is not very loud. With the volume turned all the way up both on the monitor and on the computer, the sound is at a comfortable volume for the documentaries I watch. It would be fine for music too if I sat right at my desk but would not be sufficient if I walked a short distance away. I ended up disconnecting the monitor's built in speakers and hooking up my external speakers again. Too bad. I was looking forward to having one less thing on my desk.
Other Thoughts: Remember when manufacturers used to include complete manuals with their products? That was replaced by a quick start guide and a CD with the manual on it. I never complained about that change because most people don't read the manual anyway so it is cheaper and better for the environment not to print it. However, ASUS has gone one step further. They don't even provide the CD. If you want the manual, you have to go to the sight to download it. I would rather still get the CD.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ADS Tech Video & Audio Capture Device USBAV-709-EF USB 2.0 Interface
Pros: I orginally bought a Radeon HD 2900 card for computer to capture video but found out later while the card is supported by Windows 7, the support for Windows 7 does not include capturing video. I gave up on that card and bought this device instead. Since it does not work with Windows 7, I hooked it up to an old Dell P4 1.7 with 512 meg of RAM and it works flawlessly.
Cons: Sometimes the video on the preview screen jumps but the finished captured video does not jump.
Other Thoughts: Some people said the audio/video sync is lost on long videos. Since I am capturing VHS-C tapes, I have not gone over 30 minutes yet. The audio/video sync has been perfect so far. I did not go to the web site for updated software. The supplied CD worked with no issues.READ FULL REVIEW
